Depuis quelque temps, des e-mails sont adressés personnellement à des citoyens européens pour leur annoncer qu?ils auraient gagné 1 million d?euros à la loterie. Ces mails sont signés au nom de Mrs Léna Mohonly, qui se déclare « promotion manager De Loterie Romande » et Mr Derek F. Kidd pour le « Information and Payment Bureau ». Les destinataires sont invités à remplir un formulaire en annexe, leur demandant entre autres leurs coordonnées bancaires.
Attention : il s?agit d?une escroquerie. Tant le mail que le formulaire annexé sont des faux, usurpant la raison sociale de la Loterie Romande.
La Loterie Romande n?a pas de bureau à Londres. Elle n?effectue jamais de tirage exceptionnel sur Internet, ses infrastructures sont toutes basées en Suisse romande et les auteurs de ces mails n?y travaillent pas.
Il est conseillé aux destinataires de ces mails de ne pas y donner suite.
La Loterie Romande examine les voies de droit pour poursuivre les auteurs de cette escroquerie.

GrayWolf, non sei l'unico fortunato.
Non so come, ma qualche "benefattore" ha recuperato un indirizzo e-mail che uso con poche persone.
Ormai da qualche settimana, vengo regolarmente avvertito che ho vinto somme spropositate a lotterie cui non ho mai partecipato.
Inoltre, mi arriva quasi ogni settimana una lettera di un gentile "avvocato" di una banca del Burkina Faso, che mi comunica che un mio lontanissimo parente residente laggiù è defunto con tutta la sua famiglia (moglie e figli, e sempre un incidente diverso: disastro aereo, ferroviario, incidente d'auto. Non sarà che porto sfiga ai parenti?!  ) lasciando un enorme capitale in banca. Ormai sono trascorsi quattro anni dalla morte e, se non aiuto l'avvocato ad intervenire velocemente, i fondi verranno incamerati dallo Stato.
(In pratica, una variante della truffa nigeriana.)
E' possibile che vi sia ancora qualcuno così ingenuo da rispondere e partecipare alle spese dell'operazione di recupero dei fondi? (certo, operando su grandi numeri, è sufficiente una percentuale minima di sprovveduti....)

Immagino di sì, altrimenti avrebbero già smesso e cercato altre fonti di reddito.
E' un po' come quelli che guardano e telefonano ai programmi dove danno i numeri del lotto.... ma vi pare che se il presentatore di turno li sapesse li darebbe a voi per 10 euro invece che giocarli? Eppure ne conosco personalmente alcuni.
Allo stesso modo funziona con maghi e cartomanti, insomma, la credulità della gente (specialmente quella con difficoltà in famiglia/lavoro) e tale da far loro credere qualsiasi cosa. |

Riprendendo il thread di qualche giorno fa, ecco l'ultima "occasione di arricchirmi" che mi è arrivata. La inserisco nel post, in modo che qualcuno che non abbia mai ricevuto proposte del genere (ma non credo sia possibile!) possa avere il piacere di leggerne una.

Continuo regolarmente a ricevere e-mail con simili "buone notizie", pressappoco un paio al mese. Tutto sommato non è neppure un fastidio, finchè la frequenza si mantiene così bassa.
Non le leggo più; anzi, non le scarico neppure con il client, perchè effettuo un controllo preventivo con un mail washer: PopPeeper e le cancello.
