A seguito di un mio post di ieri. Ho esaminato il Visualizzatore di eventi, che mi da errore 32079. Ho trovato un sito www.eventid.net che a fronte di questo errore mi ha dato la seguente risposta:

Event ID: 32079
Source: Microsoft fax

Description:
An error was encountered while preparing to send the fax. The service will not attempt to resend the fax. Please close other applications before resending.

I was getting this event ID error and could not find anything online about it. What I forgot to do after installing the modem and setting up the Fax services, was to actually send a test fax from the server itself before using it at a client. When I tried to send a test fax from the server, it popped up with the Modem Location Wizard (which lets you put in your area code, dialing rules, etc.). The server cannot send a fax if it does not know what area code you are in or what dialing rules to use. Once I specified the area code, the problem disappeared.

Ora pur conoscendo un pò d'inglese, non credo d'aver capito esattamente se e come Anonymous ha risolto il problema.
