Smart Link Modem Driver was created by Smart Link, Ltd. An updated version of the Smart Link Modem Driver has been released in Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) that corrects the problem you are experiencing. If you are not already running Windows XP SP2, Microsoft recommends that you upgrade to get the latest driver.

To upgrade to Windows XP SP2, go to the following website: Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Note: The upgrade to Windows XP SP2 does not automatically detect the new driver, so you will need to install it manually. In order to begin using the updated version of Smart Link Modem Driver in Windows XP SP2, please follow the steps below:

Click Start, and then click Control Panel. If you are using Classic View, click Switch to Category View.
Click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Phone and Modem Options.
Click the Modems tab.
Right-click the Smartlink modem, and then click Properties.
Click the the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.
Select Install the software automatically (Recommended), and then click Next. This will update the Smartlink Modem driver to the newest version, which is already available on your computer with Windows XP SP2.

Hai un problema con i driver del modem? Hai già provato a fare quanto descritto nel messaggio che hai postato (aggiornare i driver)?

il problema e ke non riesco ad aggiornare i driver ... sul sito di smartlink non trovo l opzione e seguendo le istruzioni scritte nella cartella stampanti e fax non trovo ''Phone and Modem Options'' per fare l aggiornamento automatico... forse sbaglio il percorso... se mi puoi aiutare te ne sarei grato

Non credo sia sotto stampanti e fax ma non ho xp sotto mano per dirti in quale categoria si trova. Puoi provare ad aprirlo da riga di comando:

scusate per l imbranataggine ma se qualkuno mi sa spiegare come trovare i driver aggiornati x Smart Link Modem sarebbe eccezzionale.... Grazie

Come detto sul sito Conexant c'è il supporto modem, c'è un po' da leggere ma potresti trovare soluzioni.

Altrimenti per trovare siti con i driver ti consiglio un motore di ricerca ad esempio google.
Alcuni tra i risultati: Driverguide, ModemSite, OpenDrivers.
Cerchi il tuo modello di modem e il tuo sistema operativo, scarichi i driver e li installi.
